Carla + Daniel: North Carolina Summer Wedding
Carla and Daniel became some of our sweet friends throughout their wedding planning process. They are some of the kindest and most giving people you will ever meet, and their wedding was easily one of our favorites we've ever photographed. They included so many Mexican traditions, and it was so incredible being immersed in their culture as we captured their special day. We asked them a few questions about what their wedding day was like. Take a look below, and we hope you enjoy the photos as much as we enjoyed taking them (probably not possible, but enjoy them anyway!).
How long have y'all been together?
5 years and a half
Tell us about the proposal:
It was just him and me very intimate momment. Daniel was nervous and I was in shock!
What made you choose your wedding venue?
We always wanted an outdoor wedding with lots green and big open areas. This was everything we wanted. The place is hidden and we could party till 2 am :)
What special details/traditions did you implement into your wedding day?
i think the most unique would be the money dance! we got around 3 thousand dollars. We also did the "vivora de la mar". That was when Daniel and I both stood on chairs and had the girls go around try to push me off then the guys try to do that to Daniel. right after the men throw Daniel up in the air and start taking off his shoes and clothes.
Did y'all do anything specific to make your wedding day more "you"?
A lot of details- simple and cute.
What was y'all's favorite part of your wedding day?
Our favorite part was the our first dance and dance with our parents. So special !
What advice would you give a newly engaged couple?
Have lots of patience and be joyful. If everything is done with joy, it will be a fun and easy process. Have a list on your phone. Most of the time you will remember things while your driving or in the most random times.
Anything else you'd like to add?
Th Eggleston were great! <3
